Who we are

Blue Gum Squash Club is a vibrant, community-driven organisation dedicated to promoting squash for players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Affiliated with WA Squash, we have grown to become one of the biggest squash clubs south of the river. Our mission is simple: to foster a love for squash, provide opportunities for connection and create a welcoming environment where everyone can thrive.

Our history

Established in 1977, Blue Gum Squash Club has been at the heart of the local squash community for decades. Over the years, we’ve welcomed members from other clubs that have since closed, including Rossmoyne, Melville, Bullcreek, and East Fremantle. With a strong focus on community and growth, the club has continually evolved to meet the needs of its members. Recent upgrades to our courts, including the addition of glass front walls, reflect our commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities for everyone, from beginners to seasoned players.

Our volunteer committee

The Blue Gum Squash is run entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time to ensuring the club operates smoothly and continues to grow. The committee meets monthly to oversee the club’s operations, pennant competitions, social functions and member engagement initiatives. Each year, at the Annual General Meeting held in September, members have the opportunity to nominate and elect the committee for the upcoming year. This collaborative, volunteer-driven approach is central to our identity as a community-focused club.

Our committee members bring diverse skills, experience, and passion to their roles, ensuring that Blue Gum Squash Club remains a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant place for all.
