Overview

Blue Gum Squash Club was established in 1977 and currently has around 125 members. The club is affiliated with WA Squash and caters for players of all abilities. Blue Gum Squash Club has a long history of being a fun, competitive and social club.

Blue Gum Squash Club has welcomed players from now defunct clubs in the area, including Rossmoyne, Melville, Bullcreek and East Fremantle, and recognises these clubs history.

The Blue Gum Squash Club is run by a group of dedicated committee members on a voluntary basis, and organises social events and an annual club championship for members.

We are always keen to get more people involved in playing squash. If you would like to take part in any of the weekly events, or simply play casually with your friends, please pay us a visit!

Fundraising

  • Entertainment Books – we have been doing this for a few years now, but 2020 is the first year that it has all been electronic. You can purchase your entertainment book memberships via this link  –  https://www.entertainment.com.au/orderbooks/83556g  –  $14 from every book sold goes to the club. Books can be purchased any time and are valid for a year from date of activation.
  • Containers for Change – this is new initiative from the state government, and allows clubs / individuals to return eligible drink containers for cash. The club has signed up for a scheme ID (C10309447), so we can recycle containers collected at the centre, but you are also able to allocate any containers that you recycle to the club as well if you wish. See the attached flyer for details, and keep an eye out at the centre for ‘bins’ to place your eligible containers in. We are exploring whether we can have an official collection bin based at the centre at the moment. Website for more info: www.containersforchange.com.au
