Blue Gum Squash Club Secures $75k Grant to Support Women and Girls in Sport

We’re excited to announce that Blue Gum Squash Club has been awarded a $75,000 grant to promote participation and opportunities for women and girls in squash! This funding, secured through the Federal Government’s Play Our Way initiative, will help us create programs and improve accessibility for women and girls in our community.

The grant will support several key initiatives, including:

  • Exclusive Coaching Clinics: Designed to build skills and confidence for women and girls.

  • Come and Try Days: Welcoming events to introduce more women and girls to squash.

  • Subsidised Starter Packs: Providing essential equipment to help remove barriers to entry.

  • Women and Girls Working Group: Ensuring consistent communication and gathering feedback to guide future programs.

  • Support for Junior Female Players: Sponsorship for regional, national, and international competitions.

  • Targeted Social Media Outreach: Promoting squash and grant opportunities through engaging content to reach women and girls in the community.

This funding is a significant step forward in making squash more inclusive and accessible. We’re proud to be driving positive change and look forward to seeing these initiatives come to life over the next year. Thank you to everyone who has supported our vision for a more inclusive squash community. Stay tuned for updates on these exciting projects!
